I hope this finds all of you healthy and well! We have been very busy this past month on the live oak sapling and seedling harvesting work associated with our VA Department of Forestry (VDOF) grant project. Things are coming together on other tasks related to the grant as well. We also are working with our Environmental Studies Program Academy student volunteers on some research related to tree protection laws for Virginia and how effective the City of Virginia Beach is at using this enabling authority – more details forthcoming soon. It’s a great time to get involved with us on these and other efforts!
Attached is the draft agenda for our next meeting on February 19, 2024 at 4:00 PM (please note new earlier time). Please email any suggested additions or changes for the agenda to me. At this month’s meeting we will again be focused on our VDOF Grant project tasks. We welcome your ideas and input and hope you will join us in person or virtually.
This month we will again meet in person at the Virginia Beach Public Schools Environmental Studies Program Academy located at the easternmost end of Brock Environmental Center (address is 3663 Marlin Bay Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23455). We also have the option to participate in the meeting by Zoom.
